Money left over from a 2010 bond will be used for projects near the Lowes Distribution Center at the corner of Ga 53 and 140.  The Rome-Floyd County Development Authority voted this week to earmark $165,000 that was left over from the purchase of the North Floyd Industrial Park.
Money could be used to survey and engineer an extension of Prosperity Way across a natural gas pipeline. An extension of the road across the pipeline would help with expanding development.
Funds could also be used to grade a one-hundred acre industrial site on the opposite side of Ga 53 and 140.
The RFCDA also approved the purchase of a new water pump station north of the Lowe’s Distribution Center.
