Benjamin Charles Hobbs, 29 of Cedartown, was arrested in Floyd County after a chase with police officers. Reports said that Hobbs led police on a chase for over an hour in a stolen vehicle on Friday. Reports said that Hobbs ran numerous stop signs while driving at a high rate of speed. He was finally apprehended near Wax Road in Silver Creek.
Hobbs is charged with reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, 3 counts of a stop sign violation, theft by receiving stolen property and fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer.
