A black female was the victim of an apparent drive-by shooting on Branham Avenue in South Rome Tuesday afternoon around 4 PM. She was shot multiple times in the torso. She was transported to Floyd Medical Center. Her condition is unknown. Witnesses said that there were at least three people in a vehicle which is described as a gray Toyota car. Rome Police Captain Paul Green spoke on scene with CVN. Watch the video below to see his comments.

Police are searching for the vehicle. Some witnesses said that there were two males and a female in the car but that information is unconfirmed.

Numerous bullets hit at least one house. Shell casings were found on the street and in the yards. Pictured – Police mark shell casings.

Rome Police are on the scene and traffic in blocked at Cherokee and Branham.
