Cedartown police have confirmed that a five vehicle accident resulted in a serious injury on Friday. Reports said that the accident occurred at US 27 at Walmart. Officers said that when they arrived they found a Chrysler Sebring, driven by 68 year-old Linda Beall, on its roof. They said that Beall had suffered head injuries and was airlifted from the scene.
No other injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
Reports said that it appeared Beall was driving bound on US 27 when she began to brake approximately 181 feet prior to her vehicle`s point of rest, striking a vehicle in the left lane, flipping onto the roof of her vehicle, and striking another vehicle in the left lane before sliding into another vehicle in the right lane which knocked that vehicle into the rear of the vehicle ahead of it.
