Gregory Scott Bragg, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to assault a 13 year-old child.
Police said that Bragg attempted to punch the male victim, who lives in the same household, placing him in fear of receiving injury.
The incident occurred at their home on Robin Hood Road.
Bragg is charged with simple assault and probation violation.
