Rome Woman Jailed for Forging Checks, Stealing Money from Elder Man

Courtney Lynn Howell, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she stole and forged numerous checks belonging to a 75 year-old man.

Reports said that Howell forged three checks, $483, $200, and $500, and cashed them at the BP on Shorter Avenue.

Howell is charged with three counts theft by taking, three counts forgery 4^th degree, and three counts identity fraud.
