A Rome woman has been arrested for the second time this month after authorities say she accepted money from customers for wedding-related products and services but never delivered them. Investigators allege that Lauren Taylor Bogardus, 27, collected thousands of dollars from multiple customers for items including wedding flowers, personalized koozies, and cups, then used the money for personal expenses instead of providing the promised products.
According to warrants, Bogardus is accused of taking payments of $197.70, $112.68, $1,081.84, $100 in January 2026, $530.10 on March 23, $117.70 on April 3, $250 on April 9, 2026, $74.70 on April 23, 2026, $402.50 on May 8, 2026, $240.42 on May 15, $943.48, and $440 from customers who allegedly never received the goods or services they paid for.
Bogardus was arrested this week and charged with one count of felony theft by conversion, 12 counts of misdemeanor theft by conversion, identity fraud, and financial transaction card fraud. The investigation remains ongoing.
Bogardus is now accused of taking over $13,000 from over a dozen women.

Investigators say the alleged thefts occurred over a period of more than a year and involved multiple victims who paid for floral arrangements and related services that were never provided. On Oct. 26, 2025, she allegedly received $1,882.71 for wedding flowers and other wedding-related items but failed to purchase the products, instead using the money for personal expenses.
Additional allegations continued into 2026. Investigators say Bogardus took $264 from a woman on Jan. 27, followed by $907.67 from another woman on Feb. 23. On March 16, she allegedly took $1,182.40 from another customer.
