Levi Cade Stollar, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a cellphone from a homeless camp.
Police said that Stollar picked up and kept a Samsung Galaxy phone from the woods behind Lowe’s without attempting to locate its owner.
Reports said that the cellphone was valued at $1,000.
Stollar is charged with felony theft of mislaid property.
