Barjinder Singh, 48 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he committed a hit and run while intoxicated.
Police said that after causing an accident at the intersection of Shorter Avenue and Elm Street Sign refused to stop.
Officers added that after locating Singh he was found to have been driving unlicensed and under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
Singh is charged with DUI, hit and run, following too closely and driving without license.
