Rome High School Student Accused of Threatening to “Shank” Classmate Before Alleged Attack

Genesis Hilario Alverez, 17 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked and threatened a child at Rome High School.

Reports stated that Alverez sent the victim a text stating that he was going to “shank him in the throat”.   Alverez is then accused  of later shoving the victim multiple times in an attempt to start a fight.

Alverez is charged with simple battery and terroristic threats and acts.
