Man Jailed for Forging and Deposting Rome Man’s Check

Jaylin Owens, 24 of Marietta, was arrested this week after reports said he forged a check and then cashed it at the Coosa Valley Credit Union.

Police said he forged a check belonging to a Rome man for $999 and then deposited it into his personal account.

Reports stated that the incident occurred back on July 26, 2026.

Owens is charged with 4^th degree forgery and deposit account fraud.
