The LGE Community Outreach Foundation has awarded a combined $20,000 to local nonprofit organizations serving Bartow County as part of the Foundation’s Cartersville Giving Day. Hosted at LGE Community Credit Union’s Cartersville branch, the event celebrated organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout Cartersville and Bartow County.
Nonprofit organizations receiving donations included Chattahoochee Tech Foundation’s Dorothy Frasier Scholarship Fund, The Etowah Foundation, ONE Bartow, and United Way of Bartow County.
“Across Bartow County, the organizations recognized at the Cartersville Giving Day make a tangible difference for individuals and families in need,” said Shannon Moats, president of the LGE Foundation. “We are honored to celebrate their work, invest in their programs and services, and partner with each organization to help strengthen the communities we serve.”
Recipients were chosen based on their impact in the community. Together, the selected nonprofits strengthen Bartow County through programs and services focused on access to higher education, financial stability, youth development, supporting seniors, and meeting community needs.
The Cartersville Giving Day is part of the LGE Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting the communities LGE serves through charitable giving, volunteerism and community partnerships. Funded through the Foundation’s year-round fundraising efforts and the generosity of LGE employees and members, these donations help expand the reach of local organizations working to improve lives throughout Bartow County.
