AdventHealth Gordon, in partnership with the Northwest Georgia Regional Cancer Coalition, will host a free lung cancer screening event for qualifying uninsured patients on National Lung Screening Day, helping increase access to early detection services for those at risk of lung cancer.
The screening event will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the AdventHealth Harris Radiation Therapy Center. Space is limited, and advance registration is required.
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths, making early detection one of the most important tools in improving outcomes and saving lives. AdventHealth Gordon’s Lung Cancer Screening Program is designed to identify lung cancer at its earliest stages, when treatment options may be most effective.
AdventHealth Harris Radiation Therapy Center has been designated a Lung Cancer Screening Center by the American College of Radiology, demonstrating its commitment to providing safe and effective diagnostic care for individuals at high risk for lung cancer.
The free screening event is available for patients without insurance coverage who qualify for lung cancer screening. Individuals interested in participating can call 706-879-5850 to learn more about eligibility requirements and reserve an appointment.
