A 29-year-old Cedartown man, Tyler Jarod Davis, was arrested this week after officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance at a Fletcher Street residence.
According to a Cedartown Police Department report, officers were dispatched to 616 Fletcher St. regarding the disturbance. Upon arrival, officers separated the two individuals involved.
Police first spoke with Davis, who reportedly told officers that the woman was at the residence only to retrieve her belongings.
Officers then spoke with the woman, who said the incident had occurred earlier in the day but that she had been unable to immediately contact law enforcement.
The woman told officers that at approximately 1 a.m., she and Davis became involved in an altercation. She reportedly said that both of their cellular phones were damaged during the incident.
According to the report, the woman also told officers that Davis threw her against multiple walls inside the residence.

During the investigation, officers observed visible bruising on the victim’s arm, which she said resulted from the altercation. Officers also reported observing marks on her face.
