Amber Rachel Rymer, 36, of Rome, was arrested this week after police said she poured out a man’s alcohol onto his cellphone and the floor of a home before becoming physically aggressive toward a female police officer.

According to reports, Rymer poured out approximately $82 worth of alcohol belonging to a 49-year-old man at a home on E. 8th Street. Police said Rymer also acted in a tumultuous manner toward the man, causing him to fear for his safety.

Officers also reported that Rymer was heard yelling outside the apartment, where she could be heard by members of the public.

When officers attempted to intervene, police said Rymer refused to follow their commands and charged at officers twice.

According to the report, Rymer then took a fighting stance and “bucked up with her chest” while attempting to knee or kick an officer. The officer reported suffering a visible injury during the encounter.

Rymer is charged with battery, disorderly conduct, felony obstruction, criminal trespass and probation violation.
