Thomas David Burnette, 66 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a man’s wallet at the Seven Hills Inn on Martha Berry Blvd.
Reports said that Burnette took a wallet, belonging to a 40 year-old Aragon man, from the counter of the hotel. Officers said that the wallet contained $600 in cash, ID and financial transaction cards.
Police stated that they also found methamphetamine in Burnette’s possession.
Burnette is charged with theft by talking and possession of methamphetamine.
