Michael Derrick Salmon, 34 of Gainesville, was arrested in Rome after reports said he lied to police during a drug investigation.
Reports said that Salmon was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over for a traffic stop on GA Loop 1 due to the odor of marijuana coming from his vehicle.
During the stop, Salmon reportedly gave officers a fake name and date of birth while being questioned.
Salmon is charged with giving false information to police and three counts probation violation.
