As Georgia celebrates a record statewide graduation rate of 88.5% for the Class of 2026, students in Bartow County and Cartersville City Schools continue to outperform the state average, according to recently released graduation data.

Bartow County Schools recorded an overall four-year graduation rate of 94.7%, with 980 of 1,035 students earning diplomas. All three district high schools posted graduation rates above 90%.

Adairsville High School led the county with a remarkable 99.3% graduation rate, graduating 285 of 287 students. Cass High School reported a 95.5% graduation rate, with 363 graduates out of 380 students, while Woodland High School posted a 90.2% graduation rate, graduating 332 of 368 students.

Meanwhile, Cartersville High School achieved a 94.3% graduation rate, with 331 of 351 students successfully earning their diplomas.

The local results significantly exceed Georgia’s statewide graduation rate of 88.5%, which marks the highest graduation rate recorded since the state adopted the federally required adjusted cohort graduation rate calculation in 2011.

State School Superintendent Richard Woods praised the accomplishments of Georgia’s graduates and the educators, families, and communities who supported them.

“I’m incredibly proud of the Class of 2026, and the teachers, families, school and district staff, and communities who supported them,” Woods said. “It’s important to us that we’re not just increasing the graduation rate, but ensuring students graduate prepared for life.”

With graduation rates above 94% in both Bartow County and Cartersville City Schools, local educators continue to demonstrate strong success in helping students stay on track to earn a diploma and prepare for future educational and career opportunities.
