Shelby Brooke Thrash, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she failed to enroll her 8 year-old in any form of schooling.
Police went on to say that Thrash is also accused of willfully neglecting to get the child dental care, resulting in the child suffering oral decay, and severe pain.
Thrash is charged with the mandatory education of children and 2nd degree child cruelty.
