Christopher Donelle Mims, 31 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he led police on a chase while driving recklessly.
Reports said that Mims failed to yield when approaching a roadway, nearly striking a law enforcement officer. Police stated that Mims was driving in a reckless manner in an attempt to elude officers that resulted in him leaving the roadway and wrecking.
While taking Mims into custody, police said that they discovered that he had been driving on a suspended license.
Mims is charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to yield right of way, fleeing, driving on a suspended license and probation violation.
