Gabriel Reno Lorenzo Grant, 29 of Norwich, CT, was jailed in Rome after reports said he engaged in a pattern of communication through text messages to “Prepare, persuade, induce, and coerce” someone he thought to be 14 years-old to engage in a sexual offense.
Reports added that Grant also threatened to bind, rape and murder the person he believed to be a 14 year-old girl.
Police said that the communication occurred between June 8 and June 11, 2026.
Grant is charged with grooming a minor for a sexual offense, obscene internet contact with a child and terroristic threats and acts.
