Terry Lee Brown, 38 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he “maliciously tortured” a dog at his home on Reeceburg Road.
Police said that they found the dog “Relay” severely emaciated with a body condition score of 1 out of 9 on the Purina Body Conditioning Score. The animal suffered from severe muscle atrophy and was unable to stand on its rear legs. All of its bones were easily seen from a distance.
Police added that “Relay” also suffered from a severe flea infestation, severe skin tenting and its ears was covered in maggots.
Brown is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.
