As educators prepare to return to the classroom for a new school year, Jefferson’s is saying thank you to all school employees with the all-school-year-long Teachers Eat Free initiative.
From Monday, July 20 through Friday, July 24, teachers and all school staff can stop by Jefferson’s of Summerville to receive one free entrée per day as part of a week-long back-to-school celebration. Following this kickoff week, Teachers Eat Free will continue every Tuesday throughout the 2026-27 academic year, providing educators with a hot, on-the-house meal each and every week of the school year.
This program is open to teachers, administrators, custodians, bus drivers, paraprofessionals, and all other school employees with valid school identification.
Now entering its fourth year, Teachers Eat Free has become a signature community initiative for Jefferson’s. Originally launched in 2023 by Summerville-area franchisees Jake Lund and Robby Coggin, the program served around $8,000 of free meals to Summerville’s educators during the 2025-2026 school year.
“Our teachers and school staff are doing so much for our kids and community,” said Jefferson’s co-franchisee Jake Lund. “We’re really excited to offer something our educators can count on throughout the school year, and be a place where they can take a break, enjoy a meal, and know they’re valued.”
Educators can stop by Jefferson’s of Summerville at 10096 Commerce Street anytime between July 20 and July 24—and every Tuesday of the school year—to enjoy a free meal. Guests must present a valid school ID to redeem one free entrée per person. Available for dine-in only.
