Lillian Angelique Hughes, 33, of Lyerly, has been indicted by a Chattooga County grand jury on multiple felony charges stemming from an investigation into alleged child sexual abuse material and bestiality, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The indictment charges Hughes, who lives on Highway 114 in Lyerly, with one count of bestiality and three counts of sexual exploitation of children.

State investigators said the case was launched after the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office received an online cyber tip and referred the information to the GBI for further investigation. Sheriff Mark Schrader said the investigation centered on allegations that Hughes possessed and distributed child sexual abuse material through online platforms.

During the investigation, authorities obtained search warrants for Hughes’ online accounts. Investigators allege they uncovered evidence of child sexual abuse material that had been stored and shared through internet and social media services. Officials also claim they found videos allegedly depicting Hughes engaged in acts of bestiality involving her dog.

The investigation was conducted by the GBI in partnership with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office as part of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a nationwide effort dedicated to identifying and investigating online child exploitation offenses.

The GBI said the investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information about suspected child exploitation is encouraged to contact the GBI Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit at 404-270-8870 or submit an anonymous report through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children CyberTipline at CyberTipline.org or by calling 1-800-843-5678.
