Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Miss Rome and Miss Northwest Georgia scholarship competitions, with organizers inviting eligible young women from across Georgia to compete for the opportunity to advance to the Miss Georgia and Miss America organizations.
The next competition will be held on July 25, and the deadline to apply is July 13.
Both titles are open to any young woman who lives, works or attends school in Georgia. Contestants will compete for both the Miss Rome and Miss Northwest Georgia titles during a single competition, with the two delegates earning the highest overall scores crowned in random order as Miss Rome and Miss Northwest Georgia.
To be eligible, applicants must be U.S. citizens and fall within the Miss America Organization’s age eligibility range of 18 to 28.
The competition comes on the heels of a successful year for the local program. Reigning Miss Rome Anna Kate Robinson (pictured with her belle Georgia Potts) earned second runner-up honors at last month’s Miss Georgia competition, while reigning Miss Northwest Georgia Sophia Wooten captured the coveted Miss Georgia title and will represent the state at the upcoming Miss America competition.
The Miss Rome and Miss Northwest Georgia scholarship competitions are official preliminary events to the Miss Georgia and Miss America organizations, providing contestants with scholarship opportunities, professional development and the chance to compete on the state stage.
Applications are now available, and organizers encourage interested candidates to apply before the July 13 deadline.
