Community leader Robert Smyth has been officially inducted as the new president of the Exchange Club, taking the reins of the service organization during a special ceremony attended by family, friends, and fellow members.
Smyth, who serves with Coosa Valley Credit Union, was praised for his dedication to the community, leadership abilities, and longstanding commitment to service.
Those in attendance described the evening as a meaningful celebration of both Smyth’s accomplishments and the future of the club under his leadership. While a few members were unable to attend, the event was made even more special by the presence of several children and close friends who joined in the celebration.
Supporters expressed confidence that Smyth will do an outstanding job leading the organization, noting his passion for helping others and his deep love for the community.
The Exchange Club is known for its focus on community service, youth programs, and civic engagement, and members say Smyth’s commitment to those values makes him a natural choice to serve as president.
