Donald Lawrence Nichols, 58 of Callahan, FL, was booked into the Floyd County Jail after reports said engaged in a sexual text conversation with someone he thought to be a 14 year-old child with the “intent to arouse or satisfy his sexual desire”.
Police said that between May 28, 2026 and June 15,2026, Nichols engaged in a pattern of communication through text messages to persuade and coerce someone he thought was a 14 year-old girl to engage in a sexual offense.
Nichols is charged with obscene internet contact with a child and grooming a minor for sexual servitude.
