Christopher Joran McCullers, 31 of Govetown, was jailed in Rome after reports said he sent sexual photos to a child.
Reports said that McCullers sent a video of himself pleasing himself to someone he thought to be a 14 year-old. The video was sent via Facebook Messenger back in April.
Reports added that McCullers also engaged in graphic written descriptions of sex acts he wished to engage in.
McCullers is charged with obscene internet contact with a child and electronically furnishing obscene materials to a child.
