A 61 year-old homeless Rome man, Scott Douglas Webb, was arrested this week after reports said he stole numerous items from the Family Dollar on North Broad Street.
Officers said that when they arrived at the store, Webb refused to cooperate and then proceeded to provide another person’s identification card without their consent.
Police said that the property taken was estimated at $40.88.
Webb is charged with theft by shoplifting, willful obstruction of law enforcement, displaying an ID of another without consent and being a fugitive from justice.
