Thomas Blaze McDonald, 20 of Rockmart, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned a 23 year-old woman at a home on Slate Street.
Reports said that Rockmart Police Department was dispatched to a possible kidnapping from the address of 108 Slate Street. During the investigation, it was learned that the criminal activity from this incident was located outside of the city’s jurisdiction, and Polk County officers took over the investigation. The investigation led to the arrest McDonald. That individual was taken into
custody and transported to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges without further incident.

McDonald is charged with simple battery, false imprisonment, cruelty to children, possession of marijuana and driving without license in possession.
