Joshua Isaac Caleb Weintraub, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he imprisoned and attacked a 19-year-old male at a home on Atwood Drive.

Police said that Weintraub “got in the face,” screaming, causing the victim to fear for his safety.   Weintraub then proceeded to strike the victim on the neck, leaving a visible mark.  He then reportedly refused to allow the victim to leave the home.  He is also accused of grabbing the victim and his phone.

Weintraub proceeded to flee into the woods when officers arrived.

Weintraub is charged with simple battery, simple assault, obstruction, hindering a person making a 911 and false imprisonment.
