Blake Justin Hugh Bragg, 26 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he removed his ankle monitoring device and was later found in possession of a firearm.
Reports said that Bragg allowed his ankle monitor to die and then failed to get in contact with his bonding service.
Officers stated that after locating Bragg on Brinnell Hill Road, he was seen holding a firearm. After being handcuffed, Bragg is accused of running from officers for approximately 40 feet before being retaken into custody. He is then accused of lying repeatedly about his identity.
Bragg is charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction, giving false information to police and unlawful knowingly removal of electronical monitoring device.
