The Rome Floyd Metro Drug Task Force arrested two individuals, Austin Wayne Vines, 25, and Kelis Diane Bowens, 20, both of 3023 Kingston Highway in Rome, following a search of the residence this week.
Reports said that the couple was found with over a pound of marijuana, packaging materials, a digital scale, THC vapes and a handgun.
Both are charged with possession and distribution of marijuana.
Vines is additionally charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
