Tydarius Arthur McClure, 17 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was the getaway driver in a gang related shooting that involved a 6 year-old child.
Police said that McClure drove another suspect to Banty Jones Park on East 13th Street in an attempt to commit a gang shooting. Police stated that McClure was acting in part of the Bloods gang to harm 4TK, a rival gang. Reports went on to say that after the 6-year-old boy was shot, McClure picked up the shooter and drove away.
McClure is charged with aggravated battery, unlawful participation in street gang activity, unlawful offense with the intent to obtain membership with a street gang and committing a drive-by shooting.
