Michael James Hughes, 65 of Rome, was arrested at the West Rome Walmart for allegedly skip scanning an item.
Reports said that Hughes was jailed for failing to scan an item valued at $2.63 at the self-checkout.
Hughes is charged with theft by shoplifting.
