David Wayne Maddox, 45 of Cedatown, and Dylan James Rackley Pointer, 29 of Buchanan, were arrested in Floyd County following a traffic stop on Highway 27 at Maple Road.
Police said that Maddox was pulled over for failing to obey a traffic control device. A K9 officer then alerted on the vehicle, and a search was conducted. Officers stated that they located over an ounce of marijuana and a THC vape.
Both are charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.
Maddox is additionally failure to obey traffic control devices.
