Alvin Koi-Chih Hong, 47 of Durham, NC, was arrested on Highway 140 in Floyd County this week after he allegedly hijacked a car.
Reports said that Hong went to a home on Fernwood Road, jumped into the driver’s seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe with an attached trailer and fled away.
Hong is charged with hijacking a motor vehicle, theft by taking a motor vehicle, theft by taking articles from a motor vehicle, and theft by taking.
Hong is additionally charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of theft of articles from a vehicle, felony theft by taking a motor vehicle, and misdemeanor theft by taking.
