Dr. Raj Miniyar, a local pediatrician, recently had the privilege and honor of meeting the firefighters of the Rome Fire Department following their extraordinary efforts in saving the city’s historic courthouse from a devastating fire.
In a heartfelt gesture of appreciation, Dr. Miniyar visited the station and shared a message recognizing the bravery, dedication, and selflessness displayed by the firefighters during the incident. He also created a video to highlight their heroic actions and the impact they had on the community.
“It takes the courage of a lion and a heart of gold to be a firefighter,” Dr. Miniyar said. “What they did that day was not just fighting a fire—they protected our history, our heritage, and a part of who we are as a community.”
Dr. Miniyar emphasized that the community should be fully aware of the sacrifices firefighters make every day and believes that sharing stories like this helps recognize and honor their service.
A video message of appreciation has been shared on social media, and community members are encouraged to watch and help spread the word about the outstanding work of the Rome Fire Department.
