Federal agents executed a search warrant early Wednesday morning at Skin Cancer & Cosmetics Dermatology on 2nd Avenue.

According to sources, when officials entered the business, they identified themselves as with the FBI and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as they entered the building around 7:30 a.m. and separated those inside into two groups, patients on one side and employees on the other.

“They announced they had a federal search warrant for health care fraud,” the source said.

Authorities are reportedly conducting searches at multiple locations connected to the business, with as many as 10 sites across Georgia and Tennessee involved in the operation.

Patients with appointments scheduled for Wednesday received a cancellation message shortly after the raid began. The text read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, our office is closed today. Please call to reschedule your appointment. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the opportunity to serve you.”

No official statement has yet been released by federal authorities, and it is unclear whether any arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
