Isaiah Quenton Dean Ward, 17 of Cave Spring, was arrested this week behind the Goodwill store on Hicks Drive when police said they found him in possession of a stolen car and a firearm.
Reports said that Ward stole a 45-year-old man’s 2023 Toyota Highlander before driving it to the location. Police stated that Ward refused to step out of the vehicle despite numerous requests to do so. Ward then attempted to drive away toward the officers. Reports added that police had to break open the driver’s side window in order to remove Ward.
After being taken into custody, Ward was found with a gun in his possession.
Ward is charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle, felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a handgun by a person under the age of 18, obstruction, criminal trespass and driving without license.
