William Larue Roberts, 44 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he led police on a foot chase following a traffic stop near the Dollar Tree on Martha Berry Highway.
Reports said that Roberts was pulled over for not having a proper license plate. After stopping, officers said that Roberts fled the scene on foot. He was captured after a few hundred yards.
Roberts is charged with obstruction, driving on a suspended license and improper display of a license plate.
