Fernando Willie Mills, 33 of Rome, was arrested on felony drug charges while being taken into custody for shoplifting from the West Rome Walmart.
Reports said that Mills was captured stealing $19.98 worth of merchandise. While being taken into custody, officers stated that they found a large amount of marijuana and cocaine in his possession. Police added that Mills was also found with several plastic baggies and a scale.
Authorities went on to say that Mills attempted to run from officers despite commands to stop.
Mills is charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, distribution of drugs with intent to distribute, two counts obstruction of law enforcement, theft by shoplifting and
