Families interested in homeschooling will have the opportunity to learn, connect, and explore resources at the upcoming Northwest Georgia Homeschool Expo hosted by THRIVE Northwest Georgia and presented by Georgia Northwestern Technical College and Jumpin’ Jacks Zone on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the THRIVE Building, 149 Kelly Ct, Calhoun, GA.
The event is designed for anyone interested in homeschooling—whether they are simply curious, just getting started, or have been homeschooling for years. Attendees will find encouragement, practical guidance, and a welcoming community of families who are navigating education at home.
Throughout the day, four workshops will provide helpful insight into different aspects of homeschooling:
- Beyond the Diploma: Equipping Your Teen for What’s Coming Next
- Creating a Learning Environment at Home
- Homeschoolers Don’t Miss Out
- Getting Started: The Preschool and Early Years
In addition to the workshops, local organizations and homeschool resource providers will be available throughout the event, offering information, programs, and opportunities specifically for homeschool families.
The Homeschool Expo is free and open to the public. Families who are exploring homeschooling, homeschoolers looking for direction, and experienced homeschoolers seeking community and resources are all invited to attend.
