A frustrating evening in Rome turned into a heartwarming moment of kindness for one local woman.
Amber had just picked up dinner from Marco’s Pizza when her plans were nearly derailed. According to her account, another driver suddenly pulled out in front of her, almost causing a crash—and leaving her freshly picked-up pizza ruined.
Disappointed and shaken, Amber took to Facebook to vent about the incident, sharing a photo of the smashed dinner her family had been eagerly anticipating.
What she didn’t expect was who would see her post.
Claude Corbin, the owner of the local Marco’s Pizza, came across Amber’s story and immediately wanted to help. Though the restaurant had nothing to do with the incident, Corbin reached out and offered to replace the damaged pizza.
Amber said she was stunned by the gesture and nearly brought to tears by the unexpected kindness.
The two later met in person, where Corbin handed off a fresh pizza and the pair snapped a quick photo together. Amber said she was incredibly grateful—and confirmed the replacement pizza was just as delicious as she’d hoped.
Stories like this are a reminder that great local businesses are about more than just good food—they’re about community.
