The Rome Floyd County Development Authority announced a major update this week involving Elevated Steel, as the company shifts its development plans to a larger site in Floyd County.
Originally slated to locate on a 24-acre parcel in the North Floyd Industrial Park, Elevated Steel will now move forward with the purchase of a 37-acre tract for $1,307,500. The expansion reflects growing confidence in the project and allows for greater operational capacity.
Officials say the company’s total investment is expected to exceed $13 million once development is complete. At full production, Elevated Steel is projected to create more than 100 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local economy.
The Development Authority noted that the revised plan positions the project for long-term growth while strengthening Floyd County’s industrial base and workforce opportunities.
Further details on construction timelines and hiring phases are expected to be released as the project progresses.
