Austin James Mills, 29 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs during a traffic stop on Bowman Road.
Reports said that Mills was pulled over after officers allegedly saw him driving in the middle of a two-lane road. During the stop, police said that they observed Mills holding his cellphone and with his messenger app open.
Officers added that they also detected a marijuana odor coming from his vehicle. A search then resulted in police allegedly finding numerous pre-rolled packaged marijuana cigarillos, and suspected methamphetamine in an empty cigarette box.
Mills is charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, distracted hands-free law, and driving on the wrong side of the roadway.
