DeJarvis Willie Smith Sr, 35 of Rome, was arrested this week following a police chase on Highway 101 and Lombardy Way on February 13th.
Police said that they attempted a traffic stop after reportedly seeing Smith run a stop sign. When they attempted to pull Smith over, reports stated that Smith sped up and weaved into oncoming traffic. Smith eventually pulled over and fled on foot.
Smith turned himself into the Floyd County Jail
Smith is charged with reckless driving, obstruction, driving on a suspended license, central lane for turning and running a stop sign.
