Alan Wayne Brinson, 72 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he led police on a high speed chase down GA 140.
Police said that Brinson was clocked driving 87 mph in a 55 mph zone while passing vehicles in a no pass zone. Brinson is then accused of failing to stop for officers after they displayed their blue lights and audible sirens.
Brinson is charged with speeding, passing in a no pass zone, reckless driving and attempting to elude police.
