Mibzar Maquito Perez, 26 of Rome, is facing felony charges after reports said he took drugs into the Floyd County Jail following an arrest for a traffic violation.
Reports said that Perez was taken into custody on Magnolia Avenue when it was discovered he was driving under the influence and with no insurance and a revoked driver’s license.
After arriving at the jail, Perez was allegedly found in possession of a THC vape.
Perez is charged with possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drugs by an inmate, DUI, driving without insurance, driving without license, driving on a suspended registration, and probation violation.
