Keep Polk Beautiful will mark National Arbor Day with a community tree giveaway and cleanup event on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Goodyear Foot Bridge in Cedartown.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and will include free tree seedlings available to the public, seedling plantings around Goodyear Park and a community cleanup effort.
Organizers say everyone is encouraged to volunteer and take part in beautifying the area. No signup is required to participate, and tree seedlings will be distributed free of charge while supplies last.
The annual Arbor Day celebration highlights the importance of trees in improving air quality, providing shade and enhancing the natural beauty of local communities.
